Sacramento-The wine show

While technically not "travel" I'm in Sacramento at the Unified Wine and Grape Symposium. Sounds fun, kind of sucks. Amazingly the best wine I've tasted is a varietal called Norton from Missouri. Yes, that Missouri! Admittedly there hasn't been much competition just yet.

The most exciting part of the journey is the hotel. The Delta King is a river boat that has been converted to a hotel. Again, not as exciting as it might sound. It's not horrible, I've stayed in worse. But it's hardly something to write home about.

The show itself is okay I guess. I have probably seen more people I know from outside of work than I have customers. Oh well, at least I'll get to enjoy a nice steak and some good wine tonight.
