The flight and Night 1

The trip started off well, we made good time to San Jose. We had a
great dinner at Santana Row, then headed to the hotel. The Best
Western El Rancho is nothing spectacular but it did the job. We leftt
he next morning for SFO and got the International Terminal in about 25
minutes. We were ticked trhou Lufthansa but it turns out it was a
United flight. It took us a few tries but we got our tickets and flew
through security. We were in the International Terminal and ready for
some food. Andale did the trick. A quesadilla, burrito, and a few
drinks hit the spot. We made friends with some other travelers, two
of whom where on our flight. I know you're all shocked, Matt and
Delia talking to strangers. It really happened, I promise!

The flight was bumpy but otherwise okay. The food was pretty decent,
the only problem was neither of us could sleep. Everytime we were
alsmost asleep we'd hit turbulance or something and wake up. Oh well,
we figured we'd survive. We land and there apparently isn't any gates
open. They park us in what apepars to be the usual parking spot when
this happens. Onto the bus we go. We don't know how, but we had to
go out through passport control and back through security. Not a big
deal if we were on time but we got off the ground 30 min late and the
bus excursion took an extra 15 minutes. We ad about 25 minutes when
we got in the security line. We get through, pretty much run to A26
only to find out our flight was moved to A30. WE made it but I had to
spring to the gate to make sure they didn't leave us.

We gt in okay, took a quick nap and wnt to dinner. We were exhausted
and didn't do much. We walked around a bit and enjoyed ourselves but
took it pretty easy. I'd write about day 1 and 2 but this keyboard is
killing me. More to follow tomorrow if we can find an internet cafe.
Hopefully wth pictures, something else I can't do on there.

Cia.
